In response to the COVID-19 virus and recent Medicare changes allowing Telehealth sessions, Psychology ONE is now able to deliver psychological therapy by video platform or phone. Whilst face-to-face therapy is obviously the preferred option, the need to reduce the spread of the virus makes this method of delivery optimal for the time being. You will now be offered the choice to attend face-to-face sessions or by Telehealth (we are likely to transition everyone to Telehealth in the weeks to come – we will keep you posted).
It is especially important to look after your physical AND mental health at this time, and our philosophy is that your psychological therapy should not be unduly impacted. All Telehealth sessions will be bulk-billed so you will incur NO out-of-pocket expense. Confidentiality is assured from our end. If you have questions, please see our Frequently Asked Questions.
The GOOD NEWS – NO out-of-pocket expense. Have therapy from the comfort of your own home. New and existing clients do not have to be in the same geographical location. Also, we can fit in with your needs by offering out-of-hours sessions to fit in with your requirements – just ask. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch here if you need support.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING WITH SOCIAL CONNECTION
It is important to maintain your social connections at this time whether by phone or online. Our physical distancing guidelines are likely to be in place for some time, as we all work together to reduce the spread of COVID-19. As we spend more time at home, be mindful of keeping up routines for work (if you do), physical activity, self-care, social connection, and for productivity. Click on the planning sheet for some ideas. We will be sending out regular newsletters with ideas for activities to keep busy and for looking after your mental health.
